Team Boréale is in Vancouver for the annual Vancouver Outdoor Adventure Travel Show at the Vancouver Convention Centre downtown. We are going to be doing our best to introduce our neighbouring Vancouver travellers to the wonders of a Yukon vacation.
It is pretty amazing how close we are to Vancouver yet how very, very different the Yukon is. There is just something in the air up here!
If you are interested in attending, please let us know as we have a few free tickets left to give out. Either contact us on our Facebook page or email at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
Hope to see you there!

Team Boréale just spent the last week down in sunny California introducing travelers to the idea of a Yukon vacation. It has been fun! We were recently featured in a video summarizing the show, where Isabel speaks to the spell of the Yukon.
The show was a lot of fun, and we definitely met a lot of people who left our booth intrigued by the idea of a Yukon vacation. Mission accomplished!
We have just opened up a new yoga and mountain biking week long retreat that is aimed at beginner mountain bikers. Interested in trying a new sport in a beautiful destination? Come ride with us!
Team Boréale is leaving the lovely north to the wilds of Los Angeles, California to attend the LA Times Travel Show. If you are in the area and would like some free tickets to this weekend’s travel show (January 28-29, 2012) please go to this website and enjoy as many complimentary tickets as you would like!

We would LOVE to chat with anyone that loves bikes and travel. I have a feeling we may be the minority at this show! Come down, we promise to entertain you with some great joke that Sylvain and Isabel have been practicing. Please come by and say hi!
Spread the word if you have any friends living in the LA area that may be interested in tickets.
Stay warm and if you can, get on that bike!

Winter has arrived in the Yukon! -40 this morning. At -40, both Fahrenheit and Celsius hold the same value: cold! When the temperature drops to these levels, it is an automatic slow down in your daily life. Books are read; shelves are cleaned; movies are watched. Generally all done in ‘comfy’ clothes as well.
Some of the most gorgeous winter photography is taken during these temperatures. Everything is sparkling and the sun in bright. Clear skies mean great star gazing and any movement outside feels like an adventure. While I do not wish the temperature to stay this cold for a long time, I must admit I do enjoy it in small doses.
Yesterday we made a small video on how to make snow: throw boiling water out in these temperatures! Making Snow
Stay warm!

Welcome to our company!

Life is good up here. Really good.
Please get in touch if you have any questions about the Yukon!
As the hours of daylight are diminishing here in the Yukon, we are actively planning and creating some amazing new trips for 2012. With Yurtville down and safely stored for another year, we are able to let our imaginations run wild! We’re thinking a little biking, maybe adding a little fishing, definitely followed by a lot of good eating. Or how does learning to smoke your own salmon sound? Our Chef Carol is dreaming up the best ways for you to experience life as a Northerner and of course, her favourite way of doing so is through delicious culinary escapades. We’re getting hungry just looking at the photos!
Also in the works are more of our super popular multi-activity trips. A little taster of our great lifestyle in the Yukon. We will be rolling these out shortly and announcing on our facebook, twitter and blog. Lots of great things coming up for couples.
Think Yukon for your next trip. It is an awesome experience!
